A32 Vixxen – Built for Modern Flight Training
Flight schools don’t just need an aircraft—they need a reliable training platform that maximizes flight time, lowers operating costs, and produces confident and safe pilots faster. That’s exactly what the A32 Vixxen delivers.
The Vixxen has forgiving handling characteristics, making it ideal for ab-initio students. Its responsive controls support advanced manoeuvres, instrument training, and check flight preparation. Students progress faster, instructors teach more efficiently, and aircraft spend more time flying—not sitting in maintenance.
From a business perspective, the A32 Vixxen shines. Low operating and maintenance costs translate directly into better margins per flight hour. Its modern cockpit prepares pilots for today’s aviation environment, helping schools market a future-ready training fleet.
Safety is at the core of the design. The Vixxen offers predictable stall behaviour, strong structural integrity, and excellent visibility, giving instructors confidence and students peace of mind—especially during those critical early hours.
And just as important: students love flying it. A sleek, modern aircraft helps schools attract new enrolments, retain students, and stand out in a competitive market.
The A32 Vixxen isn’t just an aircraft—it’s a smarter training investment.

FIRST FACTORY BUILT VIXXEN AVAILABLE FOR TRAINING
Adventure Aviation at Balado Airfield in Central Scotland has become the first UK Flying School to operate a factory built Aeroprakt A32 Vixxen. The aircraft has been manufactured by Dragon Aviation Sport Aircraft Limited, the UK A8-1 approved company. Director Ray Everitt said : Congratulations to Adventure Aviation on becoming the first flight school with a Vixxen. We have been importing Aeroprakt Foxbat and Vixxen aircraft kits since 2000, and are delighted to now be able to offer the Vixxen factory built, so it can be used by flight schools, and for private pilots.
This 600kg aircraft has a high specification including Rotax 912Is fuel injected engine, Airmaster variable pitch propeller, Dynon avionics including EFIS, twin communication radios, navigation radio for ILS/VOR, Air Avionics AT1 traffic awareness system, auto pilot and ballistic parachute. Please contact us for flight school incentives, aircraft options and specifications. Delivery times usually 3-4 months. Full maintenance and repair facilities areprovided at our purpose built 3,000 sqft hangar at Sleap Airfield, (free landing when visiting us) and our workshop near Chirk.
The aircraft will be available for ab initio training as well as differences training and rating revalidation flights. Colin Logan, Chief Flying Instructor at Adventure Aviation said: “We already have experience in operating a Vixxen for training, having trained two owners of the type in the past year. Its exciting to now be able to open up training to everyone with this factory-built machine. The Vixxen is a very capable and well-built aircraft, capable of a wide range of speeds and able to operate from very short strips. The combination of the 912Is engine and variable pitch propeller also make it very efficient. Other highlights include the adjustable leather seats, excellent heater and superb visibility. Ray and Alec of Dragon Aircraft have many years of experience of building the type and provide excellent advice and support”
